Michael J. Franczak, 79, of 518 S. New St., Nazareth, died Aug. 19 in his home. He was married to Elizabeth (Alick) Franczak for 53 years in February. He worked for the Hercules Cement Co., Stockertown, before retiring in 1986. Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Kowalczyk) Franczak. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus with Council 4282, Nazareth. Survivors: Wife; sons, Michael J. Jr. of Scottsdale, Ariz., Roger J. at home; brothers, John of Nazareth, Stanley in North Carolina; sisters, Rose Meyers and Helen, both of Nazareth, Susan Bendus of Easton.
