Clifford Eugene "Gene" Almany, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at Bristol Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with emphysema.
Mr. Almany was born in Bristol, the son of the late Birdie Ruth and Clifford E. Almany.
He joined the United States Air Force at the age of 18 and was stationed at various bases in his military career.
He served a tour of duty in Vietnam and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include:
Loving wife of 21 years - Sandra Keith Almany
Children - Clifford Lee Almany and Cynthia Millican of Bristol and Larry Gene Almany of Minnesota.
Siblings - H. S. Almany and Sandra Phipps both of Bristol
Grandchildren - Randy Almany, Hannah Almany, Patrick Almany, Benjamin Almany all of Minnesota, Chase and Miranda Almany of Burlington, NC, Sallie and Caleb Millican of Bristol
