Ferris Joseph Belmany was a Cafe Owner and lived on Rte. 8, Rockingham County. The name of the cafe was American Lunch and was located at 104 S West Market(according to Baldwin's and Review's - Reidsville City Directory) There were other restaurants owned by Belmanys in the city of Reidsville.

Not verified yet are the possibility of Ferris having two other brothers. One is named Nassep Belmany(b. 1884) and the other Michael Selem Belmany(18 Feb 1895) . Michael's wife is Ethel Benefield and he died on 05 Jan. 1970. The record shows that before coming to Reidsville that Nassep lived in Roxboro where Ferris Joseph lived while married to Chessie. Ferris and Chessie had a daughter Louise Belmany who only lived 24 days. There is another Belmany named Norman (b.1896) living as a boarder with James and Agnes Clayton in Leaksville. Later, Norman is shown in the home with George and Lola Belmany.

There is Chessie or Cherrie Belmany (b.29 Mar 1916), wife of Ferris J. Belmany living as a boarder with Robert and Bettie Hutcherson. It shows that Chessie/Cherrie was born in Va. Also, a boarder in this home is Ferris Belmany in 1930.

His Father was Ferris J. Belmany and Ferris was divorced at the time of death. However, he originally married Mildred Griffin on Nov. 03, 1942. Mildred was 20 years old. Ferris was 42 years old.
