Robert D. "Bob" Raymond, 73 of Bloomington, IL, passed away at 5:40 A.M. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington IL.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Rev. Stuart Rex will officiate. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be Noon-2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Easter Seals.
Bob was born October 16, 1939 in Bloomington, IL the son of Donald and Irene Reiner Raymond. He married Janeene Freed on June 12, 1965 in Gridley, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two Children, Dawn Marie (Loren Haralson) Raymond, Oakland, CA, and Tersea (Shannon) Carnahan, Fairbury, IL; one Grandson, Colin Carnahan, Fairbury, IL; and one Brother, David (Judy) Raymond, Grand Rapids, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Bob served in the US Army. He had worked for State Farm Insurance Company as a computer analyst for over 33 years. Bob will be remembered for his poetry and his special sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him
