GERALD T. CORPENING
GRANITE FALLS - Gerald Thomas Corpening, 72, of GraceChapel Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at his residence.
He was born April3, 1932, in Caldwell County to the late George Corpering and Nora Miller Corpening.
Mr. Corpening was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Ellis Hosiery, with 32 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glen Corpening, George Corpening and Vernon "Dude" Corpening; and two half brothers, William "Bill" Clark and Paul Clark.
He is survived by... ; a brother, Jack Corpening of Valdese...
Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at the Mackie-High Chapel, with the Rev. Tom McDonald officiating.
Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Duvall, Willie Duvall, Shane Clawson, Jeff Clawson, Andy Corpening and TimReid.
