OBITUARY: Henry Langer, 83

Henry Langer, 83, died March 18, 1987 at the River Falls Care Center after a lingering Illness. He had been a resident of the center for the past six years.

He was born May 18, 1903 in Trimbelle Township, the son of Emil Sr. and Bertha Langer. He married Florence Andrle on June 25, 1929.

Langer farmed in the Big River area until his retirement.

Surviving are five children: Donald of River Falls, Alvin of Big River, Joann (Mrs. Robert) Berg of Lakeland, Minnesota, Rose Marie (Mrs. Richard) Brookshaw of Prescott and Judy (Mrs. Donald) Hermann of Lindstrom, Minnesota; 29 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers: Emil Jr. of River Falls and Fred of Ellsworth; four sisters: Anna Janisch, Bertha Yanish, Gertrude Merta and Hilda Lovell of River Falls.

He was preceded in death by his wife Florence, a daughter Marlys and his grandson, Craig Berg.

The funeral was held March 20 at St. Bridget Catholic Church. The Rev. Dan Dahlberg officiating. Burial was at St. Martin's Cemetery in Cherma.

Pallbearers were grandsons Tim and Pat Brookshaw, Kevin and Dave Langer, Ron Berg and Brian Hermann.
