Funeral Mass Slated at Dante for Jim Cihak
DANTE-Funeral Mass for Jim Cihak, 80, will be Friday morning at Assumption Catholic Church at 9 o'clock with the Rev. Laurence Prochaska officiating.
The Rosary will be recited this evening at 8 o'clock at the Cihak home in Dante. The Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cihak was born March 19, 1886 at Tripp to Mr. and Mrs. John Cihak and died Aug. 16 at the Wagner hospital. On Jan 25, 1910 he married Anna Soukup at Lake Andes and they farmed until moving to Dante 17 years ago.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Bertha Briza and Leona Blessie, Omaha, and Mabel Petrik, Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Albert and Anton, Dante.
He was preceded in death by one daughter.
