He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 ears, Carol Anderson Norris; two brothers, three sisters, and a son-in-law Ward "g" Maples.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Headlee Norris; a daughter, Barbra Maples, a son, David (Alice) Norris; three grandsons, Darin (Mindy) Maples, Michael (Stephanie) Norris, and Jeffery Norris, three granddaughters, Carrie(Nathaniel) Lutkz, Kristen (Phillip) Thomas, Kimberly (Zach) Bauer and seven great-grandchildren.
