George Marlow was a soldier in the War of 1812. His colonel was named Ballow and was in the command of General Portersfield. George Marlow was born in Culpeper County, Virginia, on August 28,1787, and died on December 25,1859, being buried at Clarksburg alongside his wife, Polly. He came to Indiana in 1821, located on a farm in Fugit township, on which he lived until his death.
