Earl C. Barr, Frederick --
Earl C. Barr, 72, Frederick, died Friday, July 20, 1990, at the Ellendale, N.D., Nursing Center. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donna Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the Wayside Cemetery under the direction of Hollte Funeral Home of Ellendale. Graveside services will be by Lynn G. Peterson Post. 273 of Frederick.
Earl C. Barr was born Dec. 16, 1917, to Earl M. and Mayme E. (Johnson) Barr at Stuart, Iowa.
He married Evelyn Harrington on Jan. 21, 1947, at Aberdeen.
Barr served in World War II and is a past commander of the Frederick Legion Post. He was a member of the International Machinist Association and custodian of the Frederick Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Frederick; one son, Rodney Barr of Aberdeen; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Alice) Napton of Frederick; three brothers, Gene Barr, Jack Barr and James Barr all of Aberdeen; one sister, Mrs. Warren (Phyllis) Wetzler of Warner; three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, his one brother, one sister, and one grandson.
Casket bearers will be Reino Maunu, Glen Bain, James Lane, Harold Schlosser, Harvey Schlosser, and Warren Wetzler. All of his friends are honorary casket bearers. The organist will be Bertha Turnquist and Jack Smith will perform a solo.
