Sarah J. Pierce, 74, died Monday 6:45 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, Nettie Smith, at Idaho Falls. Born March 9, 1883 St. John, Oneida County, to David C. and Mary Stephens. Educated in St. John. Married to William S. Pierce Dec. 22, 1903 at St. John. Member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Survivors: husband, and daughter Mrs. Frank (Nettie) Smith both of Idaho Fallos; son, Sherman, Aberdeen, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; two sisters. Funeral Thursday 1:30 p.m. St. John LDS Ward chapel. Friends call at home of Mrs. D. P. Thomas, 365 N. 200 West St., Malad. Wednesday evening and Thursday prior. Burial in St. John Cemetery. Benson Funeral Home in charge.
