Deceased Name: Harold Eugene Adkisson 1927 - 2010 [email protected]

Harold Eugene Adkisson 1927 - 2010 Harold Eugene Adkisson was born in Oklahoma, the seventh of the 10 children of William C. Adkisson and Ola Hope nee King, on February 28, 1927. He had two children: David Harold (deceased) and Sally McGill Belflower; there are three grandchildren, Phyllis, Ricky and Elizabeth, and two great- grandchildren, Natasha and Erin. He is survived by wife Kathryn and 1 sibling Eula May Popovich. He joined the Navy at age 19, served in the Pacific, was wounded in combat, and received an honorable discharge with disability and medals.

Nevertheless he went on for a high school diploma, a year of college, and acquired labor skills too numerous to mention, including union secretary with local #509 AWU. He was also an outstanding churchman receiving many awards, but was especially gifted in loving and relating to people; his repertoire of jokes was legendary. He was a faithful member of the Bakersfield First Nazarene Church where services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to thank CBCC and Optimal Hospice for their superb support. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sun Valley Indian School, P.O. Box 4013, Sun Valley, AZ 86029-4013. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
