b. 21 Aug. 1834 in Morgan Co., IN.
Enlisted and mustered in on 24 July 1862 at Paragon, IN Co. D, 70th IN Vol. Infantry.
Wounded at Resaca, GA on 15 May 1864.
Rank: First Duty Sergeant.
Mustered out near Washington, D. C. on 8 June 1865.
d. 11 Feb. 1870 at Humboldt, Allen Co. KS
Note: In 1970's this Evan Young Cemetery was found abandoned.
Daniel was first married to Martha Settles/or Settle in Denton Co. TX
They had two children. Lafayette Deal, who is buried in Mt. Hope Cem. is one of them.
After his 1st wife's death, Daniel married Cynthia Ann Farr, and had three children, one being my grandfather "Thad" who is on Find A Grave. When Daniel died, Cynthia remarried to Levi Perry Hyatt who is on Find a Grave. I can link Thad to Daniel.
