NANCE- Harold Edwin Nance - Lt. Col. (Ret.), born April 20, 1922. Died June 23, 2011. Survived by his wife, Dolores, of almost 66 years; daughter Janice MacMillan (Ian); daughter Cheryl Conner; daughter Carole Maxwell (Terry); grandchildren-Colin MacMillan (Lauren); Heather Lewis (Will); Rachel Bassett (Stephen); Casey Conner; Melissa Maxwell, Scott Maxwell, Jennifer Hernandez (Reuben), Jason Maxwell; great grandchild Dexter Bassett, Justine and RJ Hernandez and many friends. Predeceased by son Kenneth; brothers Eugene and Waldo. His 22 years in the United States Air Force included proudly serving our country during WWII as a fighter pilot. The next 22 years he was a deep space engineer at JPL.He loved his family deeply, was totally devoted to his wife, and valued each person he knew. To simply say, "they broke the mold with that one" sums up the larger than life person we lovingly called, "Papa".
