Dorothy Margaret (Arnold) Valentino, 81, a Hingham resident for 60 years, passed away of pancreatic cancer Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tazewell, Tenn., where she was raised on a farm. She was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC and was associated with the FBI Personnel Dept. While in Washington, DC she met her husband of 60 years, Daniel G. Valentino. Mrs. Valentino was also associated with the Town of Hingham Treasurer's Office retiring in 1992. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed weekly card games, dominos, family Sunday dinners and especially her grandchildren's sporting events and activities. In addition to her husband Danny, she leaves her two daughters, Terri (Valentino) Healey and her husband Lawrence and Lorri (Valentino) Costello and her husband Jack all of Hingham. She was the sister of Joyce Ramos of Hawaii, Sharon Arnold of Tennessee and the late Pete Arnold. Also survived by her four grandchildren, Marisa, Sarah, Alyce and Leanna; and one great-grandson, Cameron. Funeral Friday, Aug. 16, at 9 a.m. from the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Paul's Church, 147 North St., Hingham Square, at 10 a.m. Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
