August Cleaver Dies At Mercy Hospital
August Marion Cleaver, 65, of Route 3, Fort Scott, died Wednesday morning at Mercy hospital in Fort Scott.
Mr. Cleaver was born in Summersville, Missouri, August 23, 1903, the son of Francis Marion and Kizzie Birdwell Cleaver. He married Ruth Jane Flora October 1, 1923 in Nevada. Mr. Cleaver was a retired Missouri Pacific machinist. He worked in Nevada from 1922 until his retirement in 1949.
He is survived by his wife of the home; one daughter, Geraldine Creamer of EIma, Washington; one son, Leon Cleaver of rural Fort Scott; one sister, Mrs. Etta Farrow, Boise, Idaho; three brothers, Rowen F. Cleaver, Independence, Eugene F. and Mike S. Cleaver, both of Summersville; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Grace Baptist Tabernacle in Fort Scott. The Rev. A. F. Collins will officiate with interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Scott, under the direction of Konantz Funeral home.
Friends may call at Konantz Funeral home until the hour of the service.
