OBITUARY-
Donald C. Beaver, 86, of Austin died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Minnesota Masonic Home in Bloomington, Minn.

He was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Kasson, Minn. to Carl and Emma (Hanson) Beaver. He graduated from Kasson High School. He married Ethel Bartel on Sept. 12, 1934. He ran a filling station in Kasson until 1942, when he and his family moved to Austin. Don then started working for Hormel Foods Corp. until he retired in 1978.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Donovan (Jean) Beaver of Bonita Springs, Fla., David (Cathleen) Beaver of Minnetonka; daughters and sons-in-law, Louise (Dean) Lommen of Burnsville and Loretta Beaver of Austin; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Martha Beaver of Kasson; nieces; nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel, his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Soloists at the funeral will be Debbie King Quale and the Rev. Cathy Mannel.
Casket bearers will be Mark, Eric and Kent Beaver, Kyle Lommen, Richard Tavis and Reuben Tverberg.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the Rev. Kristin K. Wee and the Rev. Gregg Mannel officiating.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery
Visitation: 4-6 Monday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and on Tuesday at the church one hour before the service.
