Mary Louise Harvick Dwyer, age 92, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013.

She was the second of four children born to Edna and Strickland Harvick in Ozona, Texas on April 30, 1921.

A graduate of Ozona High School, she continued her education at Stephens College in Missouri and University of Texas Austin and was a sorority sister of Alpha Delta Pi.

In 1943, she married Donald W. Dwyer Sr. and she was a member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church. She was a Den Mother and a member of the Blue Bird Auxiliary at Methodist Hospital in the '60's.

Mary had a creative talent as a seamstress and later in life discovered a new talent painting.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald W. Dwyer, Sr. and their son, Donald W. Dwyer, Jr.

She is survived by her loving son, Richard H. Dwyer and wife, Patricia of San Antonio; grandchildren: David W. Dwyer and wife, Heather of Katy, TX; Darlene K. O'Hara and husband David of Frisco, TX; Brian J. Dwyer and wife, Rebecca of Allen, TX; ten great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and many wonderful friends and neighbors.

Our mother had amazing strength, courage and humor. She inspired us with her kindness, love and gentle soul and goodness of spirit ~ she was truly devoted to her family and children.

The Dwyer family would like to thank Grace Hospice, and caregivers Connie McIntyre, Denise Jones for their compassion and care for Mrs. Dwyer.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, 9:30 AM at Laurel Heights United Methodist Church.
