Noted Denver attorney, Harlan G. Balaban, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on August 5, 2013. Husband of Norma, father of Hal and Lisa (Stefan) Mozer, grandfather of Justin and Marisa, brother of Arlene (Arthur) Moss. He received his LL.B. from the University of Denver in 1950 and was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1982. In 1985 he was chosen to serve as president of the Colorado Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He was of counsel to the law firm of which he was a founder, Balaban, Levinson & Costigan, P.C. Memorial donations to American Heart Association , 1280 S. Parker Road, Denver, CO 80231
Harlan was 88 at the time of his death.

Harlan Balaban (1924-2013) was one of the founders of Balaban, Levinson & Costigan, P.C. He ceased the active practice of law in 1994. Mr. Balaban tried hundreds of cases during his career, including errors and omissions cases, insurance matters, criminal matters, personal injury claims, and banking and real estate disputes. Mr. Balaban received his LL.B. from the University of Denver in 1950. He was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1982. In 1985 he was elected to serve as president of the Colorado Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Balaban held the prestigious AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
