Salt Lake City, Utah- Roselda Louise Corbett, age 72, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 11, 2013.

Born on March 26, 1941 in Ely, Nevada to Charles Abbott and Louise A. Hofheins, the third of five children.
On November 21, 1963 she married the love of her life Robert N. Corbett in Salt Lake City, Utah where they began their live journey together.

Louise started working at Little America Hotel in 1970 where she enjoyed many years in the hospitality industry as a Supervisor in the housekeeping department. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and was very passionate about her work and all the everlasting friendships that were made. She retired from The Grand America Hotel in May 2008.

Louise always looked forward to the annual family reunions in Ely, Nevada, where she was surrounded by all of her family and with close friends making many happy memories. She enjoyed Southern Utah the most and Moab was one of her favorite places to visit. She had love for turquoise and silver jewelry and anything with a Southwestern feel from décor to Indian artifacts.

Louise is survived by her three children Michael Anderson (Judy), Kenneth Corbett (Shana) and daughter Vicki Chidester (John) her sister Mary Jane Miller and brother Melvin Abbott. She loved and welcomed all seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren whom she adored and would do anything for. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert N. Corbett, her mother Louise Ence Mories and brothers James and George Abbott.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday August 16 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Mortuary located at 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. Friends and family are welcomed to visit from 12:00-1:45 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

I had the honor to speak at my dear friend and Co-worker Lou's funeral. I have known Lou for 40 years, worked with her for 35 of those years. Lou was a very special, caring, honest and loveable person. She was a friend to all.
Lou had so many friends there were too many too count.
Lou also saved my life back in the 70's when she insisted that I go see her GYN doctor. Because she kept pushing and prodding me to go see him, I finally conceded and went and when I went they found a cyst on my ovary. It turned out to be Ovarian Cancer, which I had the surgery and it saved my life. I used to tease Lou all the time that it was her fault that I was still around.
Lou retired just two weeks after I did and I wish she would have had more quality time to enjoy life. She lost her husband and then a couple of years later Lou herself became ill and it was hard for those who loved her to see this woman who had always been so strong, and on top of things to go downhill.

We all love and Miss you Lou and you will be in our hearts forever. REST IN SWEET ETERNAL PEACE MY DEAR FRIEND.
