Mrs. Lillian Poteet Hoffman, widow of George Hoffman, died in her sleep while visiting her granddaughter, Mrs. Paul Medley, in Columbia.
Lillian was born in Mexico on February 6, 1882, daughter of Adolphus and Maria Whitsel Poteet. She was married in Sedalia on February 10, 1904 to George C. Hoffman, and he preceded her in death in September 1955.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A. J. (Mary Ross) Harlan, one son Allen P. Hoffman, one brother Allen Poteet, and a sister, Mrs. H. C. Muir. - Sedalia Democrat - Friday, February 17, 1967 pg.4
