Mr. Morehouse was affiliated with the Morehouse Dairy in West Lafayette, worked at Alcoa for several years, and retired from Purdue University in 1968 after 24 years as a custodial supervisor. He then worked in the real estate business with Merrell's Town and Country for a few years.
His hobby was restoring antique cars. He was associated with the Battle Ground Steam and Power Show for 12 years, and he was in charge of the Antique Car Show. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Historic Auto Club, both of Lafayette, Model T Ford Club International, the Tippewa Chapter, a 50-year member of the West Lafayette Masonic Lodge 724, Klondike Alumni Association, and Shelby Township Farm Bureau.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois (Mrs. Albert J.) Hainje of Lafayette and Ms. Carol J. Gear of Montmorenci; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
