Paul Henry Corbett, 70, died at 11:30 AM Sunday [Sept. 17, 1972] in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he was admitted Saturday night. He had been in failing health for two months. Born at Smithson, KY, he had lived most of his life in the Lafayette area. In 1924, he married Gladys E. Batta, who survives. Mr. Corbett was employed 20 years as a contract truck driver for the 'Journal and Courier' newspaper, retiring in 1962. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.

Surviving with his widow are seven daughters, Miss Dorothea Corbett, Alice Ann (Mrs. Paul) LaRocca, both of Lafayette, Mildred (Mrs. John J.) Flanagan of Indianapolis, Reatha (Mrs. Marvin) Meyer of Monroe, MI, Patricia (Mrs. Michael J.) Gagnon of Fairfield, OH, Margaret (Mrs. Kenneth D.) Ade of Rt. 9, West Lafayette, and Rosemary (Mrs. Robert, Jr.) Wilson of Ladoga, IN; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ilgenfritz of San Bernardino, CA; and 18 grandchildren.
