Walter D. Allen of W. Haverstraw, NY, died on Feb. 1, 2001 at Nyack Hospital. He was born on Dec. 19, 1903 in Mocksville, NC. He worked as a Mattress Maker for Castro Convertible for many years. Walter was predeceased by his wife Ruth and son David. He is survived by two sons Thomas of Wallkill, NY and Robert and his wife Joan of Augusta, GA, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM at Higgins Funeral Home, New City with Rev. Jack Branford officiating. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
