William Duncan Cutright was born February 22, 1846, in Ross County, Ohio. He was the son of Camden Cutright and Margaret Campbell, the grandson of John "the Deer Hunter" Cutright, and great-grandson of John "the Bear Hunter" Cutright. On September 29, 1874, he married Mary Alice Brown(8/31/1852-8/11/1932) who was the daughter of William Brown and Mary Edmiston Montgomery. William and Mary Cutright had four children: Blanche Amanda Cutright(9/6/1880-8/29/1975) who on 10/7/1905 married her second cousin, Oliver Duncan Cutright, Myrtle Cutright(9/7/1875-11/28/1962) who married Joseph Porter and later married Lafever, Mary (Mamie) Margaret Cutright(2/1/1877-8/12/1905), and Grace Brown Cutright(2/18/1895-2/21/1975).
