Selma June Gilreath Mullins, 81 years of age of Keen Mountain, VA went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the Clinch Valley Medcial Center, Richlands, VA. Born in Gatliff, KY, November 8, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Obie Gilreath, Sr. and Vina Bunch Gilreath.
June was a member of the Keen Mountain Methodist Church, former owner and operator of Jack Mullins General Merchandise. She retired from the Buchanan County School Board has worked at Custodian for different schools in the Keen Mountain area. Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Obie Gilreath, Jr. and one sister, Sandra Rae Marineau.
She is survived by one daughter, Rita Jill Mullins Baker and husband, James of Rosedale, VA; son, Jack Kirby Mullins, Jr. of Richlands, VA; sisters, Shirley Tucker and Sharon Heath and husband Mike all of MI; brother, Roger Gilreath and wife Carol of MI.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Shane Browning, Jama Fleming and husband, Keith, Dustin Mullins and wife Tina; five great-grandchildren, Andrew Fleming, Colbey Browning, Logan Browning, Sierra Mullins and Peyton Mullins.
Funeral services for Selma June Gilreath Mullins will be conducted Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Keen Mountain, VA with Rev. Tom Whiten and Evg. Lois Null officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.
Active pallbearers will be: Colbey Browning, Logan Browning, Joe StClair, Dusty Mullins, James Baker, Keith Fleming, Cory Vicars and Mark Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Jerry Mullins, James Keen, James Street, Donnie Bailey and A.L. Blankenship, Jr.
