Dorothy B. (Arndt) Howard, 98, of Rockland Road, Scituate, died April 6 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late Warren J. Howard. Born in North Scituate, the daughter of the late Charles C. and Winifred E. (Lowell) Arndt, she was a lifelong resident of the town. She worked for many years as a doubler at the former Stillwater Worsted Mill in Greenville. She was a member of the North Scituate Baptist Church and was a past president of the Women's Fellowship of the church. She was a past Noble Grand of the Rebecca Lodge # 40, a past president of the North Scituate Fire Department and a member of the Republican Party. She leaves five daughters, a sister, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 44 great-great-grandchildren.
