BAPTISM: Baptismal record, Zion Lutheran Church, Manchester, MD: Elis., dau of Pet. & Cathr. Zepp, b. 1-22-1787, bp. 4-1-1787, sponsors: Georg Phill & Elis. Menge.Confirmed at Jerusalem Church in 1802.

CHURCH: There is an Elizabeth Kraus, or Elisabeth Crouse, or Elisabeth Krause, or Elisa Krause listed as a communicant at Jerusalem Church, Bachman's Valley, from 5-2-1829 to 5-19-1833.

DEATH: Mrs. Elizabeth Crouse died after a long and painful illness, Dec. 31, 1832 and was buried Jan. 2, 1833. Aged 43y, 4 months, 10 days. Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown has record of (This area is now Carroll Co but was Frederick Co MD at the time) Since she is listed as deceased in a land transaction of 1838, she must have died before 1838.

DEED: At the request of Polly Mathias the following deed is recorded July 22, 1837. This indenture made this April 14, 1837 between Jacob Wine and Susan his wife, George Zepp and Catherine his wife, Jacob Matthias of George and Catherine his wife, David Crouse, John Crouse, and Rachel Crouse and John Trump and Eliza his wife all of Carroll Co, MD on one part and Polly Matthias on the other for the sum of $342 the parties of the first part grant their right, interest, estate to Polly Matthias (total 65-3/4 acres, 12 sq perches) – (1) 53 acres 22 perches of land being parts of "Gotham", "Hibernia", "Pallintine" and "Zepps Expectation" beginning at a stone marked No. 3M set up in the ground at the end of the 12th line of that part of the aforesaid tract of land (… laid out for the heirs of Peter Zepp aforesaid… ) called "Pallintine" previously conveyed by Joseph Matthias to Peter Zepp by deed on May 30 1788 and (2) also including land in "Hibernia" and "Gotham" conveyed to Peter Zepp by Robert Holliday on June 20 1800 for 9 acres 1 rood and 39 sq perches. (3) land part of Pallintine for 2 acres, 3 roods and 13 sq perches. Signed by Jacob Wine and Susanna Wine his wife, George Zepp and Catherine Zepp his wife, Jacob Matthias of George and Catherine Matthias his wife, David Crouse, Rachel Krause, John Krause, John Trump and Eliza Trump his wife. DEED: At the request of Mary Matthias the following deed is recorded Oct. 12, 1838. This indenture made Sep 1 1838 between George Crouse of Carroll Co and Mary Matthias. Whereas a certain Peter Zepp of Baltimore Co now Carroll Co, deceased, who died intestate and at the time of his death owned land which became the property of his children and whereas his daughter Elizabeth, who intermarried with a certain George Crouse both late deceased, was entitled to a share of said real estate and the said Elizabeth and George died also intestate having children their heirs at law of which the said George Crouse is one and has agreed to sell that land laid off for the widow of Peter Zepp for $8.62 1/2 to Mary Matthias. This lands adjoins those of George Matthias, George Gemmel, George Zepp and others in three different tracts on a plat dated June 23, 1823. DB WW3 p. 99 Carroll Co, MD.
