Services for Mrs. Vada A. Lott, 80, formerly of 189 S. Hickory St. will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ware Funeral Home. The Rev. E. L. Heskett will officiate and burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Lott died at 4:45 a.m. Monday at Chillicothe Hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Ross County, she was born on June 20, 1890 to William and Mary Loversheimer Hatmaker ( sic- Hatmacker ).
Her first husband Boyton(sic- Boydston) Sampson died on April 26, 1919. She was remarried to Earl Lott who died on Jan 30, 1942.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Ruth L. Burns, Rt 10, Albert W. Sampson, 687 Cox Ave, Earl L. Lott Jr., Rt 1 Lancaster and Otto I. Lott 226 Mt. Logan Drive, two sisters Mrs Ethel Rittinger 279 S. Mulberry St., and Mrs Marie Ackley, Tampa Fla., two stepsons, Arthur Lott, Lancaster and Archie Lott, Saline, Mich., and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three children, Russell Lott, Richard and Dolores Sampson, a brother, Clarence Hatmaker, and a sister, Edith Wilhelm.
Mrs. Lott was a former member of the 1490 Club, Women of The Moose and Senior Citizens Association.
