Margaret "Marge" Grotelueschen, 92, of Fairbury, Nebraska, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, August 9, 2013, at the Gardenside L.T.C. in Fairbury.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 13, 10:30 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Michael Klatt and Rev. Bernard Raabe officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M. Memorials may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church or family choice.

Marge Grotelueschen was born December 26, 1920, in Wisner, Nebraska, to Otto W. and Amelia (Hoefs) Raabe. She attended St John's Lutheran Day School and graduated from Wisner High School. Marge also took classes at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and Concordia College in Seward. She taught in rural schools in Cuming County and at St. John Lutheran School, rural Columbus.

On June 29, 1945, Marge was united in marriage to Melvin A. Grotelueschen in Wisner. They moved to Columbus after Melvin got out of the service. Marge was an active, charter member of Peace Lutheran Church. Marge and Melvin made many calls to people inviting them to come to church with them. She also was a member of the Women's Guild at church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Marge enjoyed making quilts for the Columbus Hospital Gift Shop, playing cards with friends, baking, putting together puzzles, and mostly spending time with her family and friends.
