Former Washington Woman Died After Long Illness
Funeral Indefinite.
Funeral services are to be held here early next week for Mrs. E. G. Craig, who died Monday, May 6, at Denver, Colo., after a long illness, it was learned today. The body will be brought here, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Lillian McDowell, who was called to Denver because of her illness. They are expected Saturday evening. Services are planned to be held at the J. A. Jones funeral home, possibly Sunday.
Before her marriage in 1896, to E. G. Craig, she was Grace Stiles, born here in 1865, a daughter of W. A. Stiles and wife, early residents of this community. She attended the local schools and was graduated from the high school. For a number of years she conducted a millinery store here. She and Mr. Craig moved to Holdrege, Nebraska, and later to Denver, for the benefit of his health.
Mrs. Craig leaves her husband and four sisters, Mrs. Ida Stumpf of Barnes City, Mrs. Minnie Dihel of Chicago, Mrs. Ola (Viola) Wallace of San Francisco, and Albert of Montrose (Lee Co., Iowa).
