Mrs. Eva L. Kizer Dies At No. Loup
Nine Years' Illness Ended Aug. 22 With Death of Respected Matron

A lingering illness of nine years came to an end Saturday, August 22 with the death of Mrs. Eva Louise [sic] Kizer, respected North Loup resident. Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church there, of which she was a member, and interment was in North Loup cemetery. A number of Ord relatives and friends attended the rites.
Eva L. Freel was born in Falls City, Nebr., on Febr. 23, 1863, the daughter of Benona and Margaret Freel, and grew to womanhood there, being married in 1882 to Samuel J. Kizer. For many years they lived in the Ericson community but in 1923 moved to North Loup which was the family home until death. Mr. Kizer passed away in 1932.
Mrs. Kizer is mourned by four children, Mrs. Viola Baker of Ord, Mrs. Margaret Bernt of Spalding, Lester Kizer of Ericson and Mrs. Ethel Hart of Ong. There are also two brothers, A. L. Freel of Rosalie, and Herbert Freel of Liberty, also twenty-three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was highly respected in every community where she resided and will be greatly missed.
