He was born Sept. 7, 1907, in Harrisburg, Ill., the son of Roscoe and Janie Bumgarner and came to Waupun as a young man. He worked at the Shaler Co., Waupun, until World War II, when he served in England and Germany. Following the war, he made his home in Memphis where he married and worked for the Pittsburgh Glass Co.
He is survived by his widow, Evelyn; four sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Southard and Mrs. Joe Darling, both of Waupun, Mrs. Joe Chase of Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. Joe Bristow of Harrisburg, Ill.; three brothers, Donald of Glendora, Calif., Roscoe of Universal, Ind., and Homer, Harrisburg, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Southard and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Darling, all of Waupun attended the funeral.
