Hardman, Ira 87, a long-time resident of Matteson, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, with his wife, Helen (nee Anderson) and two of his daughters by his side.

He was the loving father of Bonnie (Randy) Miller, Andrea (Steven) Sindelar, Holly (Joe) Glogovsky and the late Claire (David) Poll. He was the cherished grandfather of nine and proud great-grandfather of six.

Ira was active in his church and many organizations, including Commander of American Legion Post 474, President of Matteson Library, Matteson Rotary, South Suburban Archaeological Society and was a Docent at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago.

Memorials may be made to any of the above organizations.

Visitation Friday 4-9 pm. Funeral Service Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Hirsch West End Chapel, 3501 W. Lincoln Hwy. (Rt. 30), Matteson, IL.

Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Joliet, IL at a later date.
