COLORADO CITY -- Mr. Coy Edward Adams, age 84, of Colorado City, died Tuesday afternoon in a Lubbock hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Kiker-Seale Chapel with Dr. Ted Spear officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Adams was born May 11, 1921 in Elkhart, Kansas to Jess B. and Ola Firestone Adams. He married Leota Howell on December 27, 1946 in Wellington, Kansas. He was a veteran of the US Air Force during WW II and had been a resident of Colorado City since 1947. He was a 34 year employee of the Colorado City ISD and retired as their transportation supervisor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grand- father.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Leota Adams of Colorado City. One daughter, Kay and husband, Tom Thompson of Snyder. Two sons, Gary and wife, Candy Adams of Oklahoma City, OK; and Dale and wife, Kayla Adams of Lubbock. Four grandchildren, Jill Grinnell and Reagan Grinnell, both of San Angelo and Amanda Adams and Audrey Adams, both of Oklahoma City, OK. Two great grandchildren, Reagan Grinnell and Austin Grinnell, both of San Angelo. One brother, Perry Adams of Colorado City, and two sisters, Mary Lou Wright of Wichita Falls and Gaynell Garrison of Altus, OK. KIKER - SEALE FUNERAL HOME COLORADO CITY, TEXAS
