Born July 30, 1929 in Turner County, Mrs. Williford was the daughter of the late Jim Watson and Anna Shepherd Watson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. “Buck” Williford, Sr. in 2005; one son, Terry Williford; one infant grandson, Michael John Tidwell; two sons-in-law, Tommy Griffin and Jackie Tidwell; three brothers, Wesley, James and Marvin; and one sister, Elmo. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Tifton, where she was active until she could no longer serve. She retired from J. P. Stevens and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling to the Smoky Mountains and, most of all, spending time with her family.
Mrs. Williford is survived by four daughters and two sons; 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Bea Powell of Sylvester.
