MARSHALL
Walter Beach, 70, died Tuesday night at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. He was born in Howard County on May 29, 1905, son of the late William and Sally Ann Kirby Beach. On Dec. 17, 1938, he married Mildred Brayman in Sedalia, and she survives of the home here.

He moved here from Howard County 38 years and was a retired police dispatcher for the Marshall Police Department. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church here.

Also surviving are two sons, Bill Beach of Marshall and Bob Beach of Sedalia; three sisters, Mrs. B.F. (Louise) Lay and Mrs. Herb (Jennie) Kirby, both of Fayette, and Mrs. W.J. (Josephine) Casper of Humboldt, Kansas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Charles Leathers, assisted by the Rev. Clifford Bowman, officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery here. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Sweeney-Reser Funeral Home here.
