Lawrence J. Barr, 77 of Marshall MO, died at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. He was born August 10, 1914, in Shackelford MO, the son of Charles T. and Harriett Thompson Barr. He married Lucille K. Gramlich on April 7, 1942, in Clear Creek MO. (Lucille passed away in 2013.) Mr. Barr lived in Saline County his entire life. He was a farmer and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbs and St. Vincent DePaul's Society.
Surviving is his son Major Milton F. Barr of Lee's Summit MO; daughters Nancy K. Barr of Kansas City MO, Marilyn Rowland of Kansas City MO, and Joyce Nelson of Marshall MO; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Walter Barr of Marshall MO and Clifford Barr of Troy IL; sisters Ethelreda Benedick, Roberta Barr of Marshal, and Regina Watcher, all of Marshall, and Lucille Montgomery of Kansas City MO; and several nieces and nephews.
