Theodore Charles ''Joe'' Sanger, 70, died May 5, 1998, at the Anchorage Pioneers' Home. A graveside service with honors was held at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery.
Mr. Sanger was born June 27, 1927, in Denver, Colo., to Theodore and Edna (Sparks) Sanger. He served in the U.S. Army and retired in 1968. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Stair; granddaughter Jasmin; sisters, Ilene Jansen, Ethel McNamer, Ada Christman, and Donna Shipman; and his brother, Raymond Stull. Arrangements are by Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
