She was born in Hollis, Okla., on Feb. 5, 1928, to the late Clifford and Anne Wolfe, and grew up on the family farm.
At Oklahoma State University she majored in Home Economics and met her future husband, Weldon Jackson.
Later, she attained a Masters in Education at Fitchburg State College.
At various times in her life she taught Home Economics at the high school and college level.
She loved teaching, cooking, traveling, volunteering, and was active in her church and community.
As an Army wife, she devoted herself to raising her two sons and providing a home for her family throughout the more than 17 moves that included Oklahoma, Georgia, Kansas, Texas, North Carolina, Germany, West Virginia and Massachusetts.
She was an internationally renowned porcelain china painter whose specialty was roses. She loved to share her passion for china painting and was constantly sought after to teach the art.
She was predeceased by her husband, Weldon Jackson, in 2000.
