Marie R. Ditzler of Gettysburg, entered into Heavenly slumber August 8 in Shippensburg.

She was a daughter of the late William and Genevieve Wierman Funt.

Mrs. Ditzler was a member of Bender's Lutheran Church, Biglerville. She was a graduate of Biglerville High School and attended Thompson's Business School in York. Mrs. Ditzler was a member of the Biglerville Historical and Preservation Society, and in 1988 she and her husband donated The National Apple Museum to the society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair F. Ditzler, who departed this life March 26, 2001, and is survived by one daughter, Diane K. Barbour of Biglerville; one granddaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Funt and Glenn Funt.
