A native and lifelong resident of Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary A. (Galligan) Leddy.
She was educated in St. Mary's Schools, and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
She leaves a daughter, Virginia A. Linnane, of Taunton and Boston; and several nephews and nieces.
She was also the mother of the late Joseph Linnane, who died in World War Two.
