MANN, Ruth B., 80, of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away June 11, 2009, in Greensboro, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas N. and Ruth P. Bradford; her brother, Thomas Bradford; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Akers.

Her immediate survivors are her son, Brad and his wife, Pamela of Greensboro; grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Ethan Mann; her sister, Margaret Akers of Wheeling, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Catherine Bradford of St. Clairsville, Ohio; nieces, Peggy and Beth Akers; and nephew, Thomas Bradford.

She was a graduate of Triadelphia High School, and the Katharine Gibbs School. She was a member of the Wheeling Junior League; King's Daughters, Vance Presbyterian Church; and she served on the board of the Oglebay Institute Mansion Museum Committee.

A Memorial Service will be held on July 5, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Vance Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oglebay Institute Mansion Museum.
