Staunton, Ill.--Mrs. Julia Rueter, 79, of 315 S. Wood St., a resident here 58 years, died Monday at 1:40 p.m. at Community Memorial Hospital. She had been hospitalized two weeks.
Born Jan. 29, 1886 at Mt. Olive, she was the daughter of William and Emma Luedeke Ruhlander. She was married to Al E. Rueter on March 3, 1907 at Mt. Olive.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. James (Audrey) Tietze of Staunton; two sisters, Mrs. Ruine Wieck of Rockford and Mrs. Viola Grabruck of Staunton; and two grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rueter was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Women's Guild. She had been a member of the choir 30 years until retiring two years ago because of her health.
Friends may call at the Fritz Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Kenneth Kuenning, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
