OBITUARY (From Times Union, Albany, N. Y. - December 1, 1999)
NISKAYUNA -- Joseph A. Annello, Sr., 89, passed away at his residence with his family by his side November 30, 1999, after a long illness.
Born in Albany, he was a resident of the Capital District all of his life. Mr. Annello was a U.S. Army-Air Force veteran, serving his country during World War II. Joseph worked as a clerk for the N.Y.S. Department of Audit and Control for 19 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Bucci Mctague American Legion Post #1530, where he served as chaplain for many years.
He was the husband of the late Rosetta Palmer Annello. Beloved father of Joseph A. Annello, Jr. and his wife, Evelyn of Rensselaer; brother of Rose Lemme, Angela Bernardo and John Annello, all of Albany, Salvatore Annello of Lake City, FL and the late Fannie Testa, Mary Conde, Anthony, Carmen, Pippine, Maurice and Michael Annello; grandfather of Joseph A. Annello, III and his wife, Laura, Sandrajo Carter and her husband, Herbert; beloved great-grandfather of Rachel, Joseph and Daniel Annello and Brian, Sammy and Jesse Carter. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral service Thursday morning at 10:00 at new Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308, in memory of Mr. Annello.
