Lucille married Chauncey on 23 December 1923 in Detroit, Wayne county, Michigan. In the 1930 census, they were living at 1234 Hayes Street in Hazel Park, Oakland county, Michigan, with their son Eugene and daughter Gwendolyn, who were both born in Michigan. Chauncey was listed as a machinist at an auto factory. As of 1931 through 1933, though, the family was living at 201 19th Street, Moline, Illinois, where Chauncey was listed as an attendent at the East Moline State Hospital.

The 1940 census shows Lucille widowed, living at 312 West 6th Avenue, Monmouth, employed in the WPA project as a recreation leader, with her two children. The census indicated that the family was living in Monmouth as of 1935.

Listed in the state's death index as having died in Cook county, with no city specified. Not listed, however, in the index on the Cook county clerk's website. Both of her children returned to Michigan; Gwendolyn died there in 1994, while Eugene retired to Florida, where he died in 2010.
