Blanch G. Brooks died January 3, 1980 at Mercy Hospital in Nampa. Blanch was born March 7, 1896 in Menlo, Iowa, a daughter of George Pierce Griffin and Adaline (Theurer)Griffin. As a child she moved west with her family, first to Oregon, then Sandpoint, Idaho and settled in Caldwell in 1910. Blanch married Earl Brooks in 1916 and their daughter Francis was born in 1919.
Blanch is survived by her daughter Frances Ford, her grandson Mike (Mary Jane) Ford, three great grand daughters Cindy, Susie, and Michele, brother Elbert Griffin, sisters Nelle Judd, Hazle Emerson and Grace Walradt. She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters Edna Griffin, May Wilson and her grand daughter Carolyn Ford Coles.
Graveside services held January 8, 1980 at Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise, Idaho. Officiating, Rev. William Clark, Second Baptist Church, Boise, Idaho.
