At about 2 o'clock p. m. last Friday, at the hospital at Decatur, occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Garr. She had been ill and suffering for almost a year. She went to Decatur about three creeks ago for treatment and there passed away while undergoing a surgical operation. She was married to Lawrence Garr about nineteen years
ago. She leaves a husband and six children to mourn her loss. She was 80 years old and Joined the Methodist church at Downs about four years ago and has over lived a Christian life. She spent her married life at Downs.
