Pete Elliott, 86, of Columbia passed away on February 3, 2011 at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital. Visitation will be Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with a Rose Croix and Masonic Service starting at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pete was born in April 8, 1925 in Smithfield, Texas. He served his country in WWII, in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and was a member of the Wilkes Boulevard United Methodist Church and the Blue Lodge, Shriners and the Scottish Rite. On February 4, 1956 he married Marlene G.C. Elliott nee Seegers. He is survived by his spouse Marlene, daughter Eva Williams and her husband Daniel and their two sons; daughter Susan Dodge and her husband Mark and their son and two daughters; daughter Darlene Maples and her husband Ronnie and their children and grandchildren.
