Obituary

1939 ~ 2013

We lost our loving mom, Shauna B. Sovereen, on August 1, 2013 of natural causes in Murray, UT.

She was born April 30, 1939 to George and Gwendolyn Blanch in Salt Lake City, UT. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. She gave freely of herself when it came to the important things in life, her family.

She is survived by her daughters Cari LeClaire (Rick), Kathy Sovereen, and Susie Canick (Mike), her sons, Rich Sovereen (Kris) and Dan Sovereen. A special sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Virgil Weatherford, brother Dr. Marsden Blanch, sisters Paula Mower and Alice O'Driscoll, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and enjoyed thoroughly. She has many other family members and friends who will miss her as well.

She is preceded in death by her son William Kent Sovereen, her parents and a brother. We will forever more reach for the phone to call our mom only to realize she's no longer here to answer our call. That's when we will feel the void the greatest and miss her the most.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the South Cottonwood 1st Ward located at 5605 South and Vine Street with a viewing one hour prior. A viewing will also be held at the same location on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens. For more information visit www.affordablefandc.com.
